Offering just that but with a hint of originality and contemporary gray panache is the in designed by Steffen Welsch Architects. Inspired by Austrian architect Hermann Czech’s philosophy that sees ‘Architecture as background’ rather than an entity that stands out visually the new family home is all about understated elegance.
The street façade of the LA House was built to keep out prying eyes with the rear opening towards the garden and pool area. Large swiveling glass doors usher in ample natural light and ventilation with the double-height central living area become the fulcrum of all activity.
A black treehouse sets itself apart with a stunningly elegant exterior that feels sophisticated and contemporary a reflection of the latest dark decor trends. A treehouse with a dynamic design is a modern sanctuary within a peaceful nature. The combination of silvery hues and light wood is a classy choice not to mention the innovative way the staircase is built around the tree!
The steep gradient of the lot also played a crucial role in its overall form as the street façade offers complete privacy even as the rear opens up towards the green scenery outside. Concrete and glass largely shape the residence with composite timber adding to its elegance.
It is both the searing heat of and durability of composite timber that encouraged the architects to use it while shaping both the timber screening and the generous outdoor decks. It is the deck that connects with both the living area on the first level and the bedrooms on the second level and usher in the outdoors.
To say that is a place for glitz glamor and all things affluent would be a great understatement. It is home for the rich and the famous and a party zone that is studded with the most luxurious homes and retreats that you will ever come across.
