Despite the difficult access to the lot and the constraints placed by the existing form of the house the interiors were completely opened up to welcome in gentle ocean breeze and a flood of natural light.
Beyond the passive solar design principles a lovely garden and green landscape around the residence add to its sustainable style. Despite a modest street façade the house opens up towards the rear and brings the outdoors inside.
This large cottage mixes the stone and the wood creating a beautiful rustic piece within the natural scenery. The stone chimney is the most eye-catching element that truly sets the tone for the cottage’s aged presence.
